OUR BELIEFS AND THE FEAST OF THE SACRED HEART
We at Sacred Heart are rooted in the traditions, teachings, and beauty of our Catholic faith. The beauty of the Mass is embraced, while maintaining a welcoming spirit for our Italian Village and greater Columbus community. While the feel of our celebrations is conventional (an organist and cantor, no video screens), you will notice the welcoming and open spirit of the Sacred Heart community.
SOLEMNITY OF THE FEAST OF THE SACRED HEART
Marking the “Great Apparition” of June 16, 1678 in which Christ appeared to St. Margaret Mary, He asked that, in reparation for the ingratitude of man for the sacrifice He made for us, the feast be celebrated on the Friday after the Octave of the Feast of Corpus Christi. The focus is on the love Christ has for all mankind. (*)
